The Winter Boulder Series
Every year HangDog hosts the Winter Bouldering Series. Don't worry if you aren't competitive, the series is also social and relaxed, with grades starting from VE (like climbing a really fun ladder). There's something for everyone with both recreational, elite, male and female categories.
How does it work? Easily...Here is the
scenario. Everybody who
enters gets a copy of a list of climbs and some paper to record their scores.
Climbers wander around watching the other climbers, relaxing, chatting,
and (when they feel like it) doing the climbs they choose to do. At the
end of the night everyone hands in their paper and the scores are compared...
and thats it. Very casual and easy.
Who can enter?
Everyone...The most important thing to know is that
you don't have to be good. While the serious climbers take the competition seriously, most people
are there to watch and have a good time.
