Rock Climbing Birthday Parties

Why have a party at HangDog? Because your kids love cimbing (We know this because all kids love climbing

)

Do you know what the most fun thing in the world is? (after climbing of course) Watching the smile on your kids face as they make it to the top of a wall!

Do my kids need to know anything special? No. Your instructor will teach you everything you need to know.

Do I get help? Yes. An instructor will take all the pressure off you and guarantee that your kids have fun. Climbing the walls is just the start.

Can I make a mess with food and presents etc? Definitely. A small mezzanine floor provides a great viewing platform, a place to eat food, and a space to unwrap presents. Go on...make a mess. We'll clean it for you.

What about food? We specialize at rock climbing not cooking

so we leave that up to you. You can bring in whatever you want. A lot of people order in pizza. There is a microwave that you can use.

How old should the kids be? We have had as young as 3 give it a go. But a good age to start is 6. Can you see the five year old in the picture below?

Note: children under the age of 13 may not belay (hold the safety rope) for safety reasons. Since the older children or adults must belay for them it is a good idea to have a ratio of around 3 youngsters to each person over 13.

Access to the whole gym for climbing for as long as you like even after you have left the birthday area.

Number of adults
Since kids under 13 aren't allowed to hold the safety rope (belay) it is a good idea to have the right number of adults. We suggest aiming for a ratio of 1 adult(person 13 or over) to 3 children (under 13).

Birthday Area
The Birthday Area is a mezzanine floor with a small table and chairs that you will have exclusive access to. You can bring your own food and drink

Instructor
At the same time that they make your child's party the most fun ever, our experienced instructors can make your day much more relaxing by providing fun rock climbing games and instruction. An instructor can also boost your child to adult ratio which is good because children under 13 are not allowed to belay (hold the safety rope).

Rock Climbing Shoes
Rock climbing shoes are not necessary but they certainly make it easier and more fun.

Food and Drink
You can bring your own or you can leave all that hassle to us. We can provide pizza, snacks, drinks, plates, cups, and everything else you need to feed your hoard.

Bigger Birthdays

If you are looking for a little bit more consider taking the kids out to do some real outdoor rock climbing. Our trained instructors can take them all out for a great time on the real rock. Check out real rock climbing
