Kawakawa bolting Fundraiser and BBQ

We are hosting a fundraising event for bolting at the Kawakawa Crag. To do this we will have a mini competition and a BBQ. The competition is for older teenagers and adults only. Dan (the bolter from Kawakawa) will set one route. It will simply be a case of who gets the highest on the route.

Who will compete?

The first 15 people to register will be able to compete. To register simply send me (Brook) an email brook@hangdog.co.nz. Once you are registered you are COMMITTED to donating $10 even if you don't show up. All proceeds go towards bolting at Kawakawa bay

What about food?

Bring a plate for dinner. You can bring food to cook on the BBQ. I (Brook) will be bringing a bunch of BBQ food (burgers and sausages) you can have some if you make a reasonable donation. Please send me an email to let me know if you want some so I can bring the right amount. brook@hangdog.co.nz

The game plan

6:30pm - 6:45pm: Welcome / introductions
6:45pm: - Briefing for the comp route
6:50pm - 8-ish: comp climbing.- 5 minute time limit + 1 minute change over = 6 mins per person. (10 people per hour) 15 people max = 1.5 hrs
A.B.L games and a 55 min 'Return to Balance' dvd provided for non-members who don't want to climb other routes during this period
8-ish - 8:50pm: Dinner break (bring a plate style)
8:55pm - 9pm: Kawakawa ground up video
9pm After party and guide book sales
